Wuithering Waves readies its latest update with version 1.4 bringing many new things to the gacha party

Kuro Games is set to release Version 1.4 of Wuthering Waves, titled “When the Night Knocks,” on November 14, 2024. This update will introduce the Somnium Labyrinth, a dreamlike realm offering fresh challenges and mysteries for the gacha-’em-up’s players to explore.

WuWa players can look forward to two new Resonators: Camellya, a five-star Havoc-element Sword user, and Lumi, a four-star Electro-element Broadblade user. Accompanying them will be 1.4’s new weapons—the five-star Red Spring and the four-star Somnoire Anchor—each with unique Transmogrifications to customize their appearance.

The update also features a new companion story, “Forking Path Among the Stars,” which will focus on Camellya’s narrative. Additionally, WuWa players can expect enhancements like the Dream Link combat mechanism, which amplifies your team synergy, and the Weapon Projection feature, allowing for weapon appearance customization without altering your stats.

Wuthering Waves is a free-to-play open-world action RPG gacha developed by Kuro Games. Set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by the Lament, players assume the role of the Rover, an amnesiac protagonist exploring a vast landscape filled with challenges and secrets. The game is renowned for its dynamic combat system, diverse character roster, and expansive world, offering players a rich and immersive experience. It is available for PC, iPhone, and Android and a PlayStation version is on the horizon

With the “When the Night Knocks” update, Wuthering Waves is looking to cement its spot in the installs of fans who have been playing since the game came out towards the end of May this year. Having faced tough competition from the HoYoverse staples such as Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail, WuWa has had a reported 30 million downloads in that short period, bringing Kuro Games very much into contention with its older rivals.
