For swimmers, Christmas comes closer this year, with Samsung announcing new promising partnerships for all the fan of the water out there.
Long story short, the South Korean company has partnered with Speedo, Under Armour and Spotify in order to support Gear Fit2 Pro with three unique features, that is, one feature per partner.
First and foremost, the partnership with Speedo, to provide the Gear2 Fit Pro with tracking and data analysis capabilities. Since the device is 5ATM water-resistant you can actually take it with you in the pool and it will record every stroke and every lap you do. What’s more, it will display this information on the display in real time. Also, it will give you the opportunity to further analyze the data, alone or with Speedo On’s expert training plans – which, on top of that, includes videos to refine your technique as well as suggestions to make the most out of your swim.
The partnership with Under Armour instead is about wellness and fitness in the broad sense. As reported, the duo is working on a bunch of apps by Under Armour to be ported to Gear Fit2 Pro – precisely, Under Armour Record, MyFitnessPal, MapMyRun and Endomondo. The apps will include personalized training plans and, a cherry on top, a nutrition dashboard.
But should I make an educated guess, the feature that will truly make your day is Spotify Offline mode. Thanks to this feature you will be able to play your music even if you are not connected to the internet – like when you’re in the pool, for example.
After Samsung Gear Sport, Gear Fit2 Pro is the second wearable to offer Spotify Offline mode, something that shows how much is crucial for Samsung to improve the actual experience of the users and innovate, all at once.
