Huawei’s Android Alternative may be Named Harmony

Back in late May, the US President, Donald Trump, had blacklisted the Chinese company, Huawei. Obviously, this has been a bit of an issue for the company as Google may not be able to support the phones with the Android OS. Also, Apps like the Chrome browser or YouTube or even Gmail will not be allowed. All of these being vital services. However, something that may be good news is that all of Huawei’s current phones will have support.

Now on to current matters. With Huawei no longer being able to get support from Google, they have started to create their own OS. The name of it may be registered as Harmony. The OS could launch beside the company’s Mate 30 Pro in October. But obviously, nothing is certain yet, just like the name of the OS.

Huawei’s OS Supposed Capabilities

The Huawei OS is said to deliver better performance than Google’s Android OS, according to Huawei. In my opinion, that is a pretty bold statement to say. The Android OS is one of the best (a matter of opinion) Operating Systems globally and Huawei is saying they can surpass its capabilities. Could it be an Android alternative named Harmony? We’d have to get our hands on it first to determine whether it is or isn’t. Huawei have also confirmed that the OS will be compatible with a numerous amount of devices. This includes laptops and tablets. They also claim that the OS can run on network switches, servers, and routers. Well, on this last point, seeing is believing.

Huawei is also implementing some iOS features. The new OS is expected to keep users data secure and private. Huawei’s CEO, Ren Zhengfei, has said that the company would never share any users data with the Chinese government – as alleged by the US. Like how iOS doesn’t share data with any company, really? Now, all we can do is wait for more updates about this supposed Android alternative that’s called Harmony. Hopefully, we’ll be able to get more updates soon.
