Formula 1 continues as the drivers head to Shanghai for the Chinese Grand Prix which will take place this weekend (March 22 – 23).
This is the second race in the 2025 season and another opportunity for teams to show what their driver line-up and cars are made of.
It comes off the back of the season opener in Melbourne which saw Lando Norris from McLaren clinch P1 after an eventful and chaotic race where six drivers DNF’d.
🇦🇺First of all, congrats to Alex and the team! For me, we checked the data and quickly understood what happened, which leaves me calmer. Frustrated and sorry for the team. I tried to help from the pit-wall and I’m already thinking about China next week!

Although one race has already been completed, it’ll be over the next few where fans can truly determine which cars are at their best. It’ll be another attempt for Ferrari to end up higher in the field, while Red Bull will be vying for both drivers to be up there.
Odds for Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix 2025
The Chinese Grand Prix has been a staple on the calendar since 2004, with it running until 2019 before it was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the first year it was back, in 2024, three-time world champion Max Verstappen came P1. Now, the latest odds are in for who will win the Chinese Grand Prix 2025.
According to Oddschecker, Lando Norris is the favorite (at time of writing) once again to be the winner with the odds sitting at 6/5.
The Dutchman Max Verstappen is sitting at the same odds as Australian-born Oscar Piastri, with both at 4/1. Out of the proposed top four, Charles Leclerc has the longest odds at 18/1.
Both Lando Norris and Max Verstappen were fighting for the drivers’ championship last season, but Verstappen won out again. This will be the 27-year-olds eleventh year in Formula 1 and he has three drivers championships already under his belt.
It’s also a season packed with rookies, as six new drivers will go head-to-head to see who can be rookie of the year. This includes Isack Hadjar, Jack Doohan, Kimi Antonelli, Gabriel Bortoleto and the near-rookies Liam Lawson and Oliver Bearman.
