Formula 1 is back with the season kicking off at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne this weekend (March 15 – 16).
The driver line-up this time around includes six rookies vying to impress, along with some experienced drivers having joined a new team including the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton who is dressed in red.
Qualifying on Saturday will give viewers the first opportunity to fully see how the new cars perform and how the drivers handle the pressure of the first race back.
There have been rumors that the McLaren is speedy, but the full pace of all cars hasn’t yet been seen.
While there has been a shake-up on the grid, this is also the first time Australia has hosted the season-opener since 2019.

According to F1’s official betting data supplier ALT Sports Data, the British driver Lando Norris is the favorite to win at Albert Park with the odds at 3.35.
While Max Verstappen has long been a favorite for winning races, it appears the battle between the Dutchman and Lando Norris could continue again if the odds are anything to go by.
The driver tipped as second most likely to be successful with a race win this weekend is the Monegasque Charles Leclerc who will once again drive for Ferrari. The odds for him are at 4.31, while the three-time world champion Verstappen is following closely in third in the estimations at 4.41.
Lando Norris – 3.35
Charles Leclerc – 4.31
Max Verstappen – 4.41
Oscar Piastri – 7.20
Lewis Hamilton – 9.20
As for the winning team, McLaren is the favorite going by the data (odds at 2.74) which isn’t surprising considering they won last year’s Teams’ Championship. Ferrari are in close second at 3.52 odds, with all eyes on Hamilton to see how quick he can get used to a Ferrari-powered car and set-up versus the Mercedes he was in for 12 years.
