Google Has Six Partners to Help Get You In the Cloud

On Friday Google announced its Cloud Transformation Program, a quick way for larger enterprises to get started with a series of Google’s cloud-based services. Included in the initial set are App Engine, Google Storage, Apps Script and Prediction API. The company is working with six MSPs to implement the program: CSC, Cloud Sherpas, Cognizant, Opera Solutions, Razorfish, SADA Systems and TempusNova.

Each partner will have their own selection of services and features and offer custom solutions in the following three areas, according to Google’s blog:

  • Cloud-based applications such as websites, mobile apps, social media apps, business process apps and customer-facing web apps built using Google App Engine and Google Apps Script;
  • Predictive solutions such as fraud detection, customer sentiment analysis, and customer churn prediction built using Google Prediction API; and
  • Enterprise storage solutions such as storage for applications, data sharing and high-reliability backup built using Google Storage for Developers.

“Cloud Sherpas combined Google App Engine and Google Sites to allow us to turn off our Lotus Notes servers and obtain the maximum ROI on ‘Going Google,'” said IT Manager of Simmons Food Company, James Dunham and a customer of Cloud Sherpas.
