Ask.Sprouter.com, a Formspring for Entrepreneurs

Sprouter, once described as “Twitter for entrepreneurs,” is exceeding that 140 character limit today with the launch of Ask.Sprouter.com, a new Q&A feature to the site that will help entrepreneurs get real-time answers from experts and thought leaders.

A startup itself, Toronto-based Sprouter helps build networks and foster collaboration among entrepreneurs worldwide. The microblogging platform Sprouter provides lets entrepreneurs share short updates answering the question “What are you working on?” And Sprouter also sponsors local events and publishes a newsletter for its members.

According to Sarah Prevette, Sprouter founder and CEO, the addition of an Answers site will allow entrepreneurs to “tap into expert knowledge and get real-time answers to those burning questions.”

Prevette notes that entrepreneurs are already asking questions on Sprouter. The Q&A feature simply makes it easier to to get your questions seen and for others to also be able to access answers. Rather than just disappearing into the stream, the questions and answers will remain available.

Ask.Sprouter.com plans to host a number of entrepreneurship experts who will be available regularly to answer questions. There will be some live Q&A sessions, but experts will also answer questions offline. The Answers site launches today with expert input from Flowtown co-founder Dan Martell and Hootsuite CEO Ryan Holmes.

The Q&A feature is available to both Sprouter members and non-members.
