Wynn Al Marjan Island has provided a first glimpse into Enclave, an exclusive, ultra-premium hospitality offering within the main resort.
Enclave will be positioned at the top of the venue’s 1,000-foot tower, providing unparalleled privacy and exceptional personal service.
Wynn Al Marjan Island’s Enclave will comprise 313 rooms across six suite types, ranging from 800-square-foot Enclave King Suites to two 16,000-square-foot, two-story Royal Apartments.
These accommodations boast a residential design with unique amenities, while further exclusive facilities for Enclave guests include a private entrance, lobby, concierge services, and a dedicated pool and beach area with three pools.
Overall, Wynn Al Marjan Island will span more than 60 hectares, with 1,217 resort rooms and additional residential units, with extensive dining and entertainment options. The site will also benefit from a deep-water marina for guests with superyachts.
Project construction remains on track, with the tower’s topping-out set for late 2025 and the resort’s full opening planned for early 2027.
The Enclave reveal follows Wynn’s acquisition of Wynn Mayfair, a private members’ gaming club in London’s West End, highlighting Wynn’s ongoing global expansion alongside its UAE venture.
Cultural sensitivities and challenges in the UAE
Given the setting of Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, there are cultural sensitivities and unique challenges to overcome to deliver a successful casino and gaming resort.
Gambling is still a sensitive issue and mostly illegal across the conservative Muslim Gulf region, but ongoing economic competition is influencing change.
Last year, Wynn landed the first commercial gaming operator’s license in the United Arab Emirates, with over $514 million committed to the Al Marjan project.
With Saudi Arabia dedicating vast resources to develop its relationship with the West, it presents a particular challenge to the UAE. The establishment of a gaming regulator was among a range of liberal legal reforms as the Emirates seeks to remain at the forefront of tourism and trade in the region.
Two years ago, the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) was established to regulate the fledgling gaming operation in the Middle East state, ending years of deliberation on the introduction of legal gambling.
