Stalker 2 Drowned unique gun location and should you keep it?

When progressing through Stalker 2, you’ll be challenged by not only the Exclusion Zone but also the various people you meet along the way.

Whether they’re friend or foe, you’ll likely be tasked with something to do and when you meet Boo in Slag Heap, he’ll provide you with a small request of finding his gun, with a decision for you to make at the end of it.

Here, we’ll take a look at where to find the Drowned gun in Stalker 2 and what you should do with it afterward.

Where to find the Drowned gun in Stalker 2

After talking to Boo you’ll be informed that he has lost his gun in the trench that you’ll have to find.

While you might think that this might be a tough ask, it’s actually incredibly easy, and very close to Boo himself.

If you just look straight ahead of Boo, jump off the broken concrete, and down to the water, the gun will just be sitting there ripe for the taking.

As for why Boo couldn’t see or grab the gun himself is anyone’s guess but at least it’s a simple find.

Keep or give the Drowned gun to Boo in Stalker 2?

If you’re torn between keeping the Drowned gun or giving it back to Boo as requested, which option is best?

Well, if you choose to give the Drowned assault rifle back to Boo he’ll simply thank you for your efforts and you’ll be free to progress on your merry way.

That’s it, there is no reward for doing so, just a feeling that you’ve done the ‘right’ thing.

So, what we recommend is that you simply keep the gun since it’s a useful weapon, especially in the early game, and you’ll need as much equipment as possible to survive.

One thing to note though is that it is sadly a broken weapon so if you do want to use it you’ll have to get it repaired which is pretty costly.
