Stalker 2 King of the Hill: Kill Shah or Roosevelt?

In a game like Stalker 2, you have to make important decisions all the time for your survival – should you use a certain gun, press the trigger at a certain moment, or eat that last piece of food.

This is also shared in missions too, with one mission in particular throwing up a difficult choice for you to make.

We’re talking about the King of the Hill mission which presents you with the question of if you should kill Shah or Roosevelt.

Here, we’ll talk through the options you’re given, what outcomes these have, and which one is ‘best’.

Should you kill Shah or Roosevelt in Stalker 2 King of the Hill?

As you make your way through the King of the Hill mission in Stalker 2, you’re tasked with taking down one or both of the other leaders if you can’t cough up the 20,000 in cash to spare them.

This is Shah or Roosevelt and when you reach the point where Varan gives you the ultimatum, which should you pick?

Well, we actually think that you should pick neither and kill Varan instead. While this seems a bit of a wacky choice on the face of it, it solves more problems.

First, no matter if you kill Shah or Roosevelt, the outcome is the same – Varan will end up becoming the aggressor and it will result in a fight to the death.

So, to prevent the hassle of this, you can just go straight for Varan, sparing the others, and you’ll reach the same ultimatum without another battle.

If you’re worried about the accompanying Deal with the Devil mission, it doesn’t really affect this as you’ll be able to loot the required Key off Varan’s body and use it to open the cell to loot The Last One’s body.
