How to use the Flashlight in Stalker 2

Stalker 2 can be an eerie experience, wandering around the post-apocalyptic wasteland, looking to complete your next mission.

A lot of the time, you’ll be entering dark areas, whether that be outside or in the various abandoned buildings and caves so having a reliable light source is key.

Luckily, there is a Flashlight in the game but you’re not exactly told how to use it.

Here, we’ll take a look at how to use the Stalker 2 Flashlight so you can look into every nook and cranny without being worried about what lies in wait.

Stalker 2 Flashlight: How to turn on and off

As you begin your Stalker 2 experience, you’re actually given the Flashlight to aid you in your survival which is somewhat of a rarity as you’re pretty much left to your own devices after.

If you’re looking at your keyboard or controller and wondering which button you need to hit to turn it on and off though, you’re not alone.

This is because you’re not actually given any formal instructions for how to do this, so you’re quite literally left in the dark here.

What you’ll need to do to turn the Flashlight on is open up your weapons radial menu by holding Tab on keyboard, LB on the Xbox controller, or L1 on the PlayStation controller, and hit either E or right D-Pad depending on your input.

This will immediately turn the Flashlight on and to toggle it off, just go through the same process.

Luckily, having the Flashlight on doesn’t drain any form of battery so there’s no need to monitor your usage and save it for dire situations.

This is fantastic news since you will be needing to use it a lot just to even see what’s ahead of you, never mind when trying to search for any hidden loot to aid you on your travels.
