Samsung TV Plus has now got three new channels from Endemol Shine. The Endemol Shine Group is a British-Dutch production and distribution company. They have announced that they’re bringing three channels to Samsung TV Plus. Two of these channels are going to Samsung’s video streaming service in the US. These channels are called Deal or No Deal and Sterling Drama. The leftover channel is heading to Germany – this channel is the scripted drama channel called Der Serienkanal.
The Sterling Drama channel has been available on Samsung’s streaming service in the US since last week. This channel brings British titles (like The Hour and The Mill) to the US. Deal or No Deal will launch on Samsung TV Plus in the US soon. This channel will bring the US version of the game show.
Endemol Shine Group’s head of digital distribution and monetization, Kasia Jablonksa, has said that they’re very pleased to expand this strategic partnership with Samsung TV into new markets. They also said that this is a testament to the strength of both Endemol Shine’s catalogue and Samsung TV’s position in the OTT market.
If you didn’t already know, Samsung TV Plus is Samsung’s own free, on-demand video streaming service. Additionally, the service comes pre-installed on all newer TVs from the tech giant. Channels and new content are being continuously added to the service since its launch (two years ago).
