Samsung Kickstarts Global Roll out of Tizen-powered The Frame TV

Samsung has announced that its new Smart TV dubbed The Frame will begin rolling out globally any moment from now. The Frame saw its first exclusive launch events in Switzerland and Norway a few days back, precisely of May 30 and 31st respectively. The launch event is billed to expand to other regions next week, including the United States, Belgium, Korea, Germany and Austria.
Samsung’s The Frame Smart TV isn’t just a television but is also a piece of artwork so, the tech giant also hinted that the launch event would be held at a museum or a gallery in each of the countries in order to highlight the TV’s artistic design and features. That commenced with its introduction at the Kaviar Factory in Loften, Norway on May 31 and the Trace Gallery in Zurich, Switzerland on May 30. At the Kaviar Factory, The Frame is included in an exclusive exhibition – “Painting or Not” – that seamlessly merges the worlds of technology and art, alongside other works of art.

The Frame Smart TV was first unveiled by Samsung in Paris earlier this year and was later showcased at CES 2017. Since then, The Frame has been exhibited in various design fairs such as the Milan Furniture Fair 2017 and Casa Decor 2017 and is presently on display at La Biennale di Venezia’ 57th International Art Exhibition holding in Venice, Italy from May 13 to November 26. The Smart TV came out as Samsung’s new lifestyle product which was designed to be incorporated into a person’s lifestyle. The Smart TV comes with a 55-inch and 65-inch UHD display with bezels around the display that make it look like a frame. When it’s not in use, it automatically goes into an art mode where different artworks are displayed.

With its customizable frame options, The Frame by Samsung can enhance the ambience and decor of any room with multiple frame themes including Walnut, Oak and White. It automatically blends with the interior of the room by adjusting its brightness to ambient lighting, made possible by the brightness sensor it features. The Frame also comes with a motion sensor which detects people’s movement and then turns the TV into power-saving mode when there is no one in the room. The TV automatically turns back on when someone enters the room. The Frame also comes with Samsung’s No Gap Wall-mount and Invisible Connection, so there are no visible connected to the TV, thus keeping the living space neat.
