Samsung announces U.S. prices & availability of The Frame Smart TV

Samsung has announced the release itinerary of its latest Tizen The Frame smart TV which also doubles as a gallery-like art display, in the U.S. According to a statement released by the company’s U.S arm, The Frame will be available for purchase starting from this Sunday, June 18, 2017.
The Frame is Samsung’s latest lifestyle product which it designed in collaboration with renowned French designer Yves Behar. The Smart TV is designed not just to provide a topnotch, premium entertainment, but also to enhance the beauty and look of any home in the same way a piece of artwork hung on the wall does. The Smart TV was first unveiled by Samsung in Paris earlier this year and was later showcased at CES 2017 where it clinched the “Best of Innovations Award”. Since then, The Frame has been exhibited in various design fairs such as the Milan Furniture Fair 2017 and Casa Decor 2017 and is presently on display at La Biennale di Venezia’ 57th International Art Exhibition holding in Venice, Italy from May 13 to November 26. Samsung only recently announced the global roll out of the innovative product a few weeks back. The Smart TV was launched n Switzerland and Norway on May 30 and apart from the U.S., Belgium, Korea, Germany and Austria will also get the gadget soon.

The Smart TV comes with a 55-inch and 65-inch UHD display with bezels around the display that make it look like a frame. When it is powered on, Samsung’s elegant The Frame offers 4K Ultra HD picture quality. On the other hand, when it’s not in use, it automatically goes into an art mode where different artworks are exhibited. The TV automatically blends with the interior of the room by adjusting its brightness to ambient lighting, made possible by the brightness sensor it features.
The Frame also comes with a motion sensor which detects people’s movement and then turns the TV into power-saving mode when there is no one in the room. It automatically turns back on when someone enters the room. Further, The Frame comes with Samsung’s No Gap Wall-mount and Invisible Connection, so there are no visible connected to the TV, thus keeping the living space neat. Apart from that, The Frame can also be mounted on Samsung’s stylish Studio Stand which is designed like an artist’s easel.
Dave Das, Senior Vice President of Consumer Electronics for Samsung Electronics America had this to say concerning the innovative The Frame:-

“At Samsung, we have built our leadership in the TV business by delivering the very best ways for consumers to view their favorite content on TV – which until now, has been focused primarily on picture quality and interaction,”……“With The Frame, we are changing how consumers actually view the TV itself. The entire concept of The Frame is unique and totally groundbreaking. When it’s turned on, it offers the stunning picture quality our customers expect. When it’s turned off, it becomes the picture itself. So whether viewing movies or art, The Frame will redefine what consumers expect from a TV.”
