Marvel Rivals stuck on 99 percent explained and how to fix

The official launch of Marvel Rivals is here and while it has been an extremely slick experience for most, there is one particular issue that has been popping up.

This is the ‘stuck on 99%’ bug, preventing many from actually being able to get some matches going.

Here, we’ll take a look at the problem and provide what fixes we can so you can get to web slinging, hammer throwing, and claw swiping.

Possible fixes for Marvel Rivals stuck on 99 percent loading

If you’re also getting the Marvel Rivals 99% loading screen bug, there are some fixes you can utilize that will hopefully get you back into the action.

The first of these is to verify the Marvel Rivals game files. This is done differently based on the launcher you’re using but we’ll take you through how to do this on Steam as most players are using that platform.

To verify your game files, go to your Steam library and locate Marvel Rivals.

Right click and hit the Properties option. In here you should be able to click through to Manage Files and then finally Verify Integrity of Games Files.

This should trigger the process and once complete, fix any issues, then boot up Marvel Rivals to see if the issue has been fixed.

The next potential fix for Marvel Rivals stuck on 99 percent loading is to move your game files from an HDD to an SSD.

That’s right, this might seem like an odd one but if you’re currently playing the game stored on a hard drive rather than an SSD, there seems to be a high chance the bug will pop up.

If you fall into this category, you can use your launcher to port the game across and the option to do this will be in the Settings section.

The final fix you can try to get back playing Marvel Rivals is to simply reinstall the game from scratch.

This is likely the lengthiest process of the three but it could guarantee that the 99 percent loading screen is gone for good.
