Marvel Rivals content is just not slowing down, even after the introduction of Season 1, which brought two members of the Fantastic Four into the fray right out of the gate.
Now, NetEase has delivered a Spring Festival event in conjunction with Lunar New Year which introduces a new mode, challenges to take on, and new skins to pick up.
One costume that many are loving since the announcement is the Lion’s Mane Star-Lord skin and here, we’ll take a look at how you can get it for yourself.
Star-Lord Lion’s Mane Marvel Rivals skin: How to get
Marvel Rivals’ Star-Lord has had some pretty great costumes so far but this latest Lion’s Mane variant might actually be the best one yet.
Luckily, you’re able to pick it up completely free of charge — it is not a paid skin that you purchase from the in-game shop.
Instead, to get the Star-Lord Lion’s Mane skin, you must participate in the Fortune & Colors event, part of the overarching Spring Festival theme that has been introduced in the latest update for the game.

To make the Lion’s Mane costume yours, you’ll have to complete missions and challenges tied to the Fortune & Colors event.
This is because the Danqing event currency is required to make it through the various rewards available, with 900 Danqing being the magic number you need to hit.
Once you do secure 900 Danqing, simply redeem the Lion’s Mane costume from the Fortune & Colors progress screen and it’ll be yours.
Some challenges are linked to the new Rocket League-esque mode that is being introduced, with Star-Lord, Iron Fist, and Black Window taking centre field here, so you will need to at least try it out to earn the currency required.
You’ll have until February 14, 2025 at 08:59 (UTC+0) in order to complete the necessary challenges associated with the Lion’s Mane skin, so there’s around three weeks worth of time available to you, which should be ample if you’re a regular player.
Iron Fist and Black Widow also receive the Spring Festival treatment with various cosmetics on offer but sadly these come at a premium and cannot be earned simply by partaking in the event.
