Others scored their spot in the tournament through PENN’s online platforms, including ESPN Bet, theScore Bet, and Hollywood Casino’s iGaming and sports betting apps.
On top of the $1 million grand prize, the tournament also treated some PENN Play Millionaire attendees to $37,000 in cash and another $10,000 in PENN Slot Play.
The M Resort Spa Casino, a four-star resort right on the Strip, also happens to be the official team headquarters hotel of the Las Vegas Raiders.
In April, PENN Entertainment, the company that runs the resort, announced an official partnership with the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA). Thanks to this deal, both ESPN Bet in the US and theScore Bet in Canada can now use MLB player names, images, and likenesses across their sports betting platforms, as well as in their marketing and retail campaigns.
It also announced plans to relocate its Iowa-based riverboat casino to a land-based location in the same month.
