The next Apple event takes place on Monday (September 9), where the company is expected to unveil a huge number of new devices including phones, smartwatches, and headphones, plus some major AI updates. The launch takes place at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 6 pm BST.
The tech giant is due to officially announce the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max at the “It’s Glowtime” event. This includes some resized displays, new camera capture buttons, and more powerful chips that are designed to make the most of the upgraded Siri and Apple Intelligence features.
The anticipated launch includes three new Apple Watches, among them the Apple Watch 10, two versions of AirPods 4, and potentially the iPad mini 7.

Expected announcements from Apple
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus: An Action button and a new Capture button for immediate photo-taking capabilities are anticipated. Both models are also thought to feature the robust A18 chip, improving integration with Apple’s AI technology.
iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max: Predictions for these Pro models suggest larger displays, measuring 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively, along with advanced ultrawide cameras. The iPhone 16 Pro is also expected to introduce a tetraprism telephoto lens, similar to the Pro Max’s capabilities.
Apple Watch Series 10: Updates may include a slimmer design with larger display options, improved battery life, and possibly the addition of sleep apnea detection features.
Apple Watch Ultra 3: The next iteration of this robust, premium smartwatch is rumored to keep its current design but include a more powerful chip and health enhancements similar to those of the Apple Watch 10. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman disagrees and thinks Ultra 3 will not be announced.
I don’t expect Apple to announce an Apple Watch Ultra 3 tomorrow. Instead, I expect the Ultra 2 sticks around and — finally — gains a black color option. I also wouldn’t rule out a delay to the new Watch SE.

Apple Watch SE 3: Apple’s budget-friendly smartwatch may become more affordable and sport a new plastic build with a larger, tougher screen.
AirPods 4: An update to the AirPods is highly likely, featuring better ergonomics and a USB-C charging case. Two versions are expected: a more affordable model and a higher-end version with active noise cancellation.
iPad mini 7: Apple’s compact tablet is slated to receive an upgraded processor for better performance with Apple Intelligence, support for Wi-Fi 6E, and new color choices.
