Samsung updated its fitness band line from the Gear Fit 2 to the Gear Fit2 Pro last week at IFA Berlin. Before its launch, most of its details were already known, thanks to a temporary slip up by Samsung’s Spanish website, where the product page went live. Its price and availability were practically all that Samsung had to unveil at the IFA event. With the release of the Gear Fit2 Pro, many will want to forget about its predecessor. However, the Gear Fit2 can still do amazing things. You can listen to music without having to carry around your mobile device using the Gear Fit2. In this post, we will give you the succinct guidelines on how to send music to your Gear Fit2 or delete music directly from your device. These Instructions also apply to the Gear Fit2 Pro 🙂
Send Music to Your Gear Fit2 / Fit2 Pro
- Open the Samsung Gear app on your mobile device. Make sure your Gear Fit2 / Fit2 Pro is connected to your mobile device.
- Touch Send music to Gear.
- Touch Select tracks to transfer specific songs. You can also turn on Auto sync which will automatically sync selected playlists from your smartphone to your Gear Fit2 / Fit2 Pro
- Touch the desired category.
- Touch the checkbox next to each song you wish to transfer and then touch DONE.
Delete Music From Your Gear Fit2 / Fit2 Pro
- Press the Home button on your Gear Fit2 / Fit2 Pro
- Touch Music Player (Make sure your music is playing from your Gear Fit2 / Fit2 Pro and not from the paired device.)
- Swipe the Arrow icon to the top of the screen.
- Swipe to and touch Tracks.
- Touch and hold the track you want to delete.
- Touch the Delete icon.
- Touch the Check mark.
As a reminder, the Gear Fit2 features a 1.55-inch 216 x 432 Curved Super AMOLED display and is powered by Samsung 1GHz dual-core processor. It comes with 512MB RAM, 2GB internal storage, IP68 certification, 200mAh battery and runs Tizen 2.3 OS. The fitness wearable as comes with GPS and GLONASS, heart rate sensor, gyroscope, barometer, and accelerometer.
On the other hand, the 34g Gear Fit2 Pro features a 1.5-inch 216 x 432 Curved Super AMOLED display (with 16Million colours). It comes with 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage which is expandable up to 2GB and runs Tizen 2.3 OS. This device has a 5-ATM water resistant body which gives it the ability to track water related activities such as swimming (both surface and underwater) up to 150 feet. It is powered by a 200mAh battery which delivers a 3-4 days talk time and a 5 days standby time. The fitness wearable comes with GPS and WiFi 802.11 b / g / n 2.4GHz, heart rate sensor, gyroscope, barometer, and accelerometer. The S-Health app is instantly triggered to track swimming, the Speedo app can do this as well but you will miss out on the real-time heart rate monitoring.
