Here is an interesting infographic that shows Developers are using HTML increasingly for both Mobile and Desktop Applications. This is from a 5,000 people survey carried out by Kendo UI (who make a HTML5-based mobile development toolkit).
It turns out that 70 percent of North American developers are already using HTML5, as are roughly 60 percent of South American, European, and Chinese developers. And they’re using them to build productivity tools, utilities, and more.
