What ranks can play together in Marvel Rivals?

Marvel Rivals’ Competitive mode is challenging even at the lower ranks, with everyone trying to leapfrog each other in hopes of making it to Eternity or One Above All.

If you’re opting to do this as a squad though, you’ll need to ensure that some teammates aren’t grinding on their own as you’ll need to be similar ranks to play with each other.

Below, we’ll take a look at what ranks can play together in Marvel Rivals so you know if you can get some sneaky matches in and earn extra ranking points without the help of the gang.

Can all ranks play together in Marvel Rivals?

Unfortunately, if you’re getting stuck into Competitive mode and want to play with anyone and everyone despite their ranks, there are some limitations.

The way Marvel Rivals’ rank system works is that you’re able to play with others who are one rank adjacent to what you’re currently at.

By this, we mean that if you’ve made your way to Platinum rank, for example, you’ll be able to play with both Gold and Diamond ranks since these are one above and below what you’re currently at.

There are some deviations to the rule though on both the bottom and the top of the ranking scale.

What this means is that Bronze players are actually able to play with Silver and also Gold players since there is no rank below it in the pool

On the flip side, if you do in fact reach One Above All, there are no ranks higher than this so you will only be able to match with One Above All and Eternity players.

Here is a full breakdown of what ranks can play together in Marvel Rivals just so you don’t get mixed up:

  • Bronze – can play with Silver and Gold players
  • Silver – can play with Bronze and Gold players
  • Gold – can play with Bronze, Silver, and Platinum players
  • Platinum – can play with Gold and Diamond players
  • Diamond – can play with Platinum and Grandmaster players
  • Grandmaster – can play with Diamond and Celestial players
  • Celestial – can play with Grandmaster and Eternity players
  • Eternity – can play with Celestial and One Above All players
  • One Above All – can play with Eternity players

As you can see, once you hit Gold, this is the largest pool of players you can possibly play with which can make for some interesting matchups.

It’s also the perfect time to get your friends started too because even if you are Gold, you’ll still be able to play with them in Bronze, teaching them the ropes as you go.
