Samsung has just announced the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2016 and it will be located at the usual location of Moscone West in San Francisco. SDC is the company’s annual Developer Conference where they will be showing devs how to develop apps for Samsung devices. You can now also register for email updates on the event.
The event has the slogan “CONNECTING THE FUTURE EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK”, which is a clear reference to Tizen. On numerous occasions Samsung have confirmed that Tizen is their Internet of Things (IoT) Operating System of choice, and will connect their devices going forward. JD Choi, Senior Samsung VP, presented a seminar at the SAS forum 2015 in which he stated that “In 2017, 90% of Samsung devices will be connected to the IoT”.
“WE ARE PREPARING FOR THE INTERNET OF THINGS, AND TIZEN AS ‘THE OS OF EVERYTHING’ WILL BE THE CORE PLATFORM,” SAID CHOI JONG-DEOK (JD CHOI), EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS SOFTWARE CENTER, AS ONE OF THE MAIN SPEAKERS AT SAS FORUM 2015 IN KOREA.
Devs will learn how to develop and take advantage of unique features of Tizen devices, including the Gear S2 and Samsung Z3 / Z1 Smartphones, smart home, Tizen TV, and IoT. We will be on the ground reporting all the Tizen developer news for you.
