Tizen is a great platform for developers to showcase their skills and ability to develop amazing apps. It has always shown its support for developers and this was echoed in the just concluded Tizen Developer Conference (TDC) 2017, which held on the17th and 18th of May at Hilton Union Square Hotel in San Francisco. As a way of encouraging and supporting developers, Samsung introduced an incentive which is available to ALL developers as part of the Tizen Mobile App Incentive Program. This program is currently ongoing and each app on the top 100 is assured of $10,000 each. The program will run until October 2017 but right now, the winners for May 2017 have just been announced.
The top four for the month of April (Whatsapp, Calendar, SHAREit and Faceebook) retained their place while apps like Camera Equalizer, Being SalMan: The Official Game and Skate Board Rider which was absent from April winners had a place for the month of May. We still got four months to go on this program so it’s not too late for you to get started. All you need do is to download the TIZEN SDK & Tools and get to work. You will need to join the Tizen Store seller office and then follow the online Instructions on how to register your app. Please ensure that your game/app is compatible with existing Tizen Smartphones, such as the Samsung Z1, Z2, Z3, and the recently launched Samsung Z4.
