In the aftermath of the US election, tech leaders have begun to congratulate President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance on their victory.
The messages came trickling in on social media soon after the result was announced, with many wishing success to Trump when he returns for his second term.
The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, said in a post on X: “Congratulations President Trump on your victory! We look forward to engaging with you and your administration to help make sure the United States continues to lead with and be fueled by ingenuity, innovation, and creativity.”

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman posted a short but sweet message: “congrats to President Trump. I wish for his huge success in the job.” He then followed up his post with: “it is critically important that the US maintains its lead in developing AI with democratic values.”
Jeff Bezos, the founder and Executive Chairman of Amazon, chimed in too, calling the victory an “extraordinary political comeback.”
Big congratulations to our 45th and now 47th President on an extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory. No nation has bigger opportunities. Wishing @realDonaldTrump all success in leading and uniting the America we all love.

Bezos hasn’t always had the smoothest of relationships with Donald Trump, with the duo publicly taking swings at each other over the years. It was in his first term as President when Trump often took aim at Bezos’ ownership of the Post, Amazon’s tax record and its relationship with the Postal Service.
When Trump came after him on Twitter, accusing him of purchasing the Washington Post for ‘keeping taxes down,’ Bezos replied with: “Finally thrashed by @/realDonaldTrump. Will still reserve him a seat on the Blue Origin rocket. #sendDonaldtospace”
Elon Musk continues posts of support
Other technology entrepreneurs and founders congratulated the business mogul too, with many sounding similar. It was Tesla’s Elon Musk who took a different approach and posted numerous tweets about his support.
