Samsung have just announced the availability of the Samsung Z1 Beta software test program. Eligible users will be able to get new software / firmware versions to install on their Z1 Smartphone before anyone else. The idea is you get to beta test the early release and to provide feedback and win a prize worth 1000₹ for best feedbacks received.
Samsung are hoping that the voice of the community can be implemented early as part of the Samsung Z1, and possibly other Tizen handsets, during the software life cycle.

Pre-requisites
- One or more Tizen Z1 devices
- Z1 device must have the latest Z1 MR binary version i.e. “Z130HDDU0BOH1”
- Install KIES 3 software – Used for backup/restore of your data and rollback to Tizen 2.3 release
The Size of the FOTA download is approximately 230MB. After applying the update it will take about 20-25mins for the device to show the home screen. The Beta test for TIZEN 2.4 binary is only available for Tizen Z1 customers in India. Tizen 2.4 Beta update for Tizen Z1 will be rolled out by mid-september.
