There is no doubt that Nokia is going ahead if talk about the support of NFC with a variety of apps, games and ideas in smartphones. So does the application developers. NFC (Near Field Communication), as you know, is currently up to the time communication medium which is growing in numbers of adaption not only by Nokia but by other manufacturers like Samsung, BlackBerry, Motorola, Acer and Casio (excuse me if I missed some thing). But here I am talking about an application that is one of the apps widely being used around the globe, the Foursquare.
Foursquare developers have just added support of NFC in the Foursquare app for Symbian smartphones – of course an NFC enabled smartphone is the requirement. But the support of NFC is added to the original application version and is not another new version that will support NFC, well that is the good thing.

Quoted: “With the newest version of the application you can use your NFC enabled phone to check-in automatically by just tapping and NFC enabled/tagged poster. No more tedious steps of launching an application waiting for location fix, connecting etc… With NFC this is all done with a simple tap.
Furthermore, the developer made it even easier for the user to check-in – without the need to have the app running – just tap and the app starts automatically and checks you in.”
