Apple’s iPhone SE 4 is set to feature significant upgrades compared to its predecessor, according to reports. Scheduled for release in 2025, it is believed to be the first iPhone model to include a 6.1-inch OLED display and Apple Intelligence support.
The budget-friendly smartphone is due for a major revamp, as Bloomberg reported that the OLED display will cover the full face of the iPhone SE. It is unclear, but the chassis could resemble that of an iPhone 14 or iPhone 16.
Meanwhile, the interior could include support for Apple Intelligence functionality. With a potential cost of less than $500, it could be an affordable entry point into generative AI. This could mean that the SE model may be more powerful than the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus editions.

The report suggests that we shouldn’t expect a dual-camera setup, although it is expected to feature 6GB to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
Face ID could replace both the Touch ID and the home button. The model is reported to include a USB-C port and a chassis made of 7000 series aluminum with glass on the front and back.
What is Apple intelligence?
Apple Intelligence is a new suite of AI features coming to iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 on compatible devices, with an expected launch in October. Craig Federighi, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, stated at this year’s WWDC, “Apple Intelligence is the personal intelligence system that puts powerful generative models right at the core of your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.”
Apple is promising that Apple Intelligence will have unprecedented access to your data so that it can use your calendar, read your messages and emails, and scan your photographs to see what’s going on and tag them accordingly. It will even listen to and transcribe your calls. Just like ChatGPT and Co-Pilot it can offer advice on revisions or even re-write or write your email from scratch.
