Online gaming company FanDuel and Euroleague Basketball have signed a broadcasting agreement for the 2024-25 season.
This partnership will bring one game from every Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season round to United States viewers through FanDuel TV.
The games will be exclusively aired on the company’s TV channel, including the upcoming event between AS Monaco and FC Barcelona on October 16.
EuroLeague, which is sponsored by Turkish Airlines, is a European men’s professional basketball club competition that is one of the top leagues on the continent.
Unlike the NBA with its 30 teams, the EuroLeague consists of 18 teams and it runs for a total of 34 games.
The 24/25 season runs from October 2 to April 11, with the best six teams advancing to the playoffs along with two survivors of the previous Play-In Showdown round. After, the Final Four will compete and go head to head to be crowned champions in the semi-final and final.
Now, Americans will be able to watch the selected games through FanDuel TV’s FAST channel, FanDuel TV Extra, and its OTT platform FanDuel TV+.
It’s also available to watch through the streaming services Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, Tubi, Xumo Play, and Plex if subscribers pay for FanDuel TV Extra.
EuroLeague makes major step in expanding to US audiences through FanDuel deal
In a press release published on October 14, the Euroleague Basketball Marketing and Communication Chief Officer Alex Ferrer Kristjansson said: “This agreement with FanDuel is a major step in expanding our footprint outside the pan-European ecosystem.
“By expanding the EuroLeague broadcasting offer to U.S. audiences, we’re opening exciting opportunities to grow our fan base and connect with basketball enthusiasts on a global scale.”
“We’re constantly looking to expand FanDuel TV’s robust offering of live sports and EuroLeague has proven to be a highly engaging market amongst FanDuel users,” said Mike Raffensperger, President, Sports at FanDuel.
“Our agreement will provide more visibility to Europe’s premier basketball league and bring even more captivating watch-and-wager programming to FanDuel TV.”
