Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Theater Mode explained

Fans of Call of Duty are eager to get acquainted with Black Ops 6 as it takes the franchise to 90s warfare, something that hasn’t been explored before.

Since Treyarch is at the helm, some of its trademark features are being included with Black Ops 6, and Theater Mode is what many are excited about.

Here, we’ll reveal what we know on Black Ops 6 Theater Mode, detailing its functionality and changes from previous iterations.

How does the Black Ops 6 Theater Mode work?

If you haven’t used a Theater Mode before in a Call of Duty title, it essentially allows you to save your multiplayer match gameplay so you can review the plays you’ve made.

You’re also able to take screenshots too which is great for those who want to grab a photo of their quad feed to send to the squad.

A nice feature in the Black Ops 6 Theater Mode is the inclusion of first and third-person as well as a detachable camera that you can use to zoom around the map to get a full perspective of the match.

It does showcase all eliminations and deaths on a timeline too, perfect for those of you who’d like to save some time and go straight to the key moments of the match.

What is unfortunate though is that all of your Theater Mode videos you haven’t saved will expire after seven days, or if a game update is released.

This makes things pretty awkward, especially near the launch of a game as there will be updates aplenty.

However, you can just review your recordings after a few matches and save the ones you like, preventing them from ever being removed by anyone but yourself.

Another huge caveat to the Black Ops 6 Theater Mode system is that it isn’t available on older gen consoles – the PS4 and Xbox One.

While a lot of gamers will have made the jump onto current gen systems, there are still plenty of people who will be playing Black Ops 6 on the aforementioned devices, and will be left wanting in the Theater Mode department.
