Water-based decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket are a go to for many with the likes of Articuno ex, Starmie ex, and now Gyarados ex being excellent lead Pokemon choices.
Pair any of these with the right back up cards and you’re likely be onto a winning streak if you draw the right hand.
If you’re looking for a pure Gyarados ex deck that’ll utilize its strengths, you’ll be needing to combine cards from both Genetic Apex and Mythical Island to form a well-rounded setup.
What we recommend in order to do this is to utilize cards such as Misty to get as many Energies as possible attached to your Gyarados, coupled with Greninja to put pressure on your opponent’s bench.
