In the Avowed Ancient Soil quest, you’re given a couple a dialogue choices that you’ll have to make in order to progress.
Just like the other options available to you in quests such as On Stranger Shores, Message from Afar, and An Untimely End, you’ll want to make the right one for your playthrough.
Here, we’ll take a look at whether you should accept or reject Sapadal’s power in Avowed so you can progress the quest and reap the rewards of picking ‘correctly’.
Avowed Ancient Soil: Accept or reject Sapadal’s power?
Ancient Soil is another multi-stage main quest in Avowed that will take you through a few twists and turns, testing what you’ve learned so far, as well as giving you yet more choices to make.
Just like in the aforementioned Message from Afar quest, you’ll get the chance to talk to The Voice, who, this time, reveals herself as Sapadal.
Again, akin to that of Message from Afar, you have the opportunity to either accept the power she is offering you or reject it.
After a lengthy conversation about her asking you to save her kind from the rot of the world, you will be presented with the dialogue choice.
Accepting the power will give you the Thorn of Sapadal ability which can be pretty useful in offensive situations.
When used, it fires energy that goes through multiple enemies coupled with rooting them in place.
So, if you find yourself a little overwhelmed by the number of mobs in your path, using the Thorn of Sapadal ability could be your ticket to victory.
However, if you choose to reject the power, you’ll be given Godlike’s Will instead, providing you an additional Ability Point to use in the Fighter, Ranger, or Wizard trees.
Which one should you pick? Well, it doesn’t really make sense to reject it since you’ll lose out on an ability that you cannot obtain elsewhere.
Moreover, there’s no other consequences for accepting, so it’s not like you’re going to affect the story later down the line!
