Obsidian has got another hit on its hands with Avowed, mashing together a beautifully crafting world with some really great combat, and solid RPG mechanics.
In conjunction with this is an interesting leveling system that combines the usual numbers with an ability tree to really craft something specific for your character.
There is the inclusion of a traditional player level though and here, we’ll be taking a look at what this maxes out at in Avowed so you know how much you’ll need to do to hit it.
Avowed max level explained
With Avowed being compared to core Elder Scrolls games which boast a very robust leveling system that can seemingly go on until the end of time, how does its progression tally up against the Bethesda greats?
In terms of the core max level of Avowed, this tops out at level 30, which may seem surprising but if you’ve got some game time in, you know you’ll still need to put some serious hours in if you want to hit these lofty heights.
Along the way, you’ll not only be unlocking various abilities, you’ll also gain access to different ability ranks.
This allows you to throw in more skill points into your best picks and really focus your build, maximizing potential in those key areas.
This skill tree is where the game really shines so don’t be put off by the somewhat low level cap, the depth lies in the vast number of abilities and how you can ‘level’ these up too through the rank system.
By around level 23, you will have unlocked all of the abilities and ranks so at this point, the world is your oyster in terms of how powerful you can become.
Play around with these and any worries of that max level of 30 will be gone for good.
