ARTIK, the Internet of Things (IoT) Samsung hardware platform has had some very Interesting developments recently, it is now Microsoft Azure Certified for IoT! This translates to the ARTIK 5 and ARTIK 10 boards being tested for readiness, compatibility, and usability with the Microsoft Azure IoT Suite.
The Microsoft Azure IoT Suite is a collection of integrated cloud services built for the Internet of Things. It provides tools, pre-built templates, and services to build and manage a variety of IoT applications, while supporting a broad selection of operating systems like Linux, Windows and Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
Azure IoT Suite Integrates with apps such as Salesforce, SAP, Oracle Database and Microsoft Dynamics, letting you easily access and update your data. Build mobile and web applications that integrate with Microsoft and third-party web APIs, and use OAuth 2.0 to build your own secure web APIs. You also have a choice of programming languages, and tools that you can build your scalable solution.
With this certification, developers can create apps for ARTIK based on the Microsoft Azure IoT Suite’s library of sample apps, and be sure that they will be compatible. On the protocol side, Azure supports AMQP, HTTP, and MQTT, making integration minimal and seamless.
