Samsung’s wing for development and innovation-Samsung NEXT now operates globally to promote disruptive technologies by budding entrepreneurs at their initial stages. At Indonesia, as part of providing a platform to local developers to showcase their innovative solutions through building applications, Samsung Electronics Indonesia holds an annual event called Indonesia Next Apps (INA) program. INA is now into its 4th year dubbed as INA 4.0 is all set to take place this week in Jakarta.
Denny Gallant, IT & Mobile Product Marketing Head of Samsung Electronics Indonesia explained INA as a “form of awareness of Samsung in developing local developers through technical debriefing that provides technical materials to be able to produce applications that are useful for the life of Indonesian people,”. He also added that they’re expecting to see atleast 500 registered applications coming out of this year’s INA spread across multiple categories.
Samsung Electronics Indonesia is partnering with several Industries such as “This year is our fourth year of hosting Indonesia Next Apps and is pleased to be working with partners from several industries such as BRI, Jakarta Smart City, Sinarmas Land, Angkasa Pura and IBM to host INA 4.0. A collective prize money worth more than IDR 600 million is at stake for developers to bag home with their creative applications.
INA 4.0 has a lot of focus in boosting Tizen development as well, as some of the challenges available for developers to work on this year include Tizen smartphone applications and Tizen wearable application development. Other challenges include developing Gear VR content, Samsung SDK and industry-based applications.
