Da Vinci Fountain Faucet: An Eco-Friendly Water Tap

Faucets for bathrooms and kitchens have pretty much remained the same since they were invented except for some minor changes and evolving shape and color trends. However, one startup company decided to address some inherent flaws in faucet design. Here is the Da Vinci fountain faucet, which is an eco-friendly water tap.

The Da Vinci fountain faucet from Nasoni changes the concept of the faucet for the bathroom. Here’s my review of this innovative appliance.

What Makes the Fountain Faucet Different

It’s part faucet and part water fountain, setting it apart from any other type of faucet currently available. To understand what makes it stand out, it’s important to look at the inherent flaws in the long-standing faucet engineering design we’ve all relied on.

First, the old faucets wastewater because the same flow comes out each time. This means some tasks like brushing that may require less water use just as much as when washing your hands.  Second, regular faucets tend to make a mess by spraying water everywhere. Overall, regular faucets don’t work well for everyday tasks.

How it Works

The award-winning Da Vinci fountain faucet changes that with a new design. It offers a dual method to deliver water. There is a traditional downspout method. Then, it also has a switch that you flip to redirect water to a spout found on top of the faucet. The fountain drinking water method is placed in a place that feels natural bending toward to drink from.

Fountain Faucet Features

The features include the company’s proprietary Dynamic Fountain Flow TechnologyTM. This technology ensures the water that comes from the fountain feature never overshoots its target to eliminate water waste and mess.

There is a PVD finish that looks nice, is easy to clean, and durable. The faucet itself is made of solid brass for minimal corrosion and long-lasting use.

There is also the option to add a water filtration system for the fountain. The Nasoni under-counter filter is NSF 42 and 53 certified. It comes with everything you need for the installation process. The filtration system costs an additional $129.

Faucet Design Options

The faucet comes in a four-inch size center set design. Color choices are chrome for $335 or brushed nickel or gloss black nickel for $349.

There is also an eight-inch widespread fountain faucet in a choice of polished chrome for $405 or brushed nickel or gloss black nickel for $419. These design choices provide many ways to fit your personal design and decor preferences.

The Pros and Cons

There are many things to like about the Da Vinci faucet fountain. I don’t need an extra cup to rinse my mouth out plus I can see how much water is saved through having an option to use it as a drinking fountain or as a regular faucet. The fountain feature also helps to keep bacteria and germs away from me and anyone else using the sink.

I feel good about the water I’m saving and the fact that the company has six green certifications. That also tells me that they are completely transparent and authentic in their desire to be an eco-friendly company. Nasoni is an official WaterSense partner and Alliance for Water Efficiency member. The company also won the award for People’s Choice Best of the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in 2018.

The cons are that the Da Vinci faucet fountains cost more than the average faucet. But, with that cost is a value that I can appreciate. It may take me a long time to replace all the faucets in our bathrooms, especially when you consider most master bathrooms have two sinks. Since they are crowdfunding their operation, the company also has a limited supply. While I received my first one quickly, there is a waiting list for more — so you’ll need to be patient due to their extreme popularity.

Where to Buy

Right now, the Da Vinci fountain faucet is only available through the startup company’s crowdfunding campaigns on Indiegogo and Kickstarter. The company provides a full refund within 30 days of your purchase if you aren’t happy with how it works.

Overall Thoughts

The Da Vinci fountain faucet is innovative and eco-friendly, helping you to save money and conserve precious natural resources. It works well and is fairly priced for what it offers in terms of its convenience and conservation efforts. I’d recommend this faucet to anyone thinking of remodeling their bathrooms.

Obviously, you can buy faucets that are considerably less money, which may be good if you are using them for a rental property. However, for your own home restoration, the Da Vinci fountain faucet is the ideal solution for its beautiful design and innovative features.
