Microsoft’s Scott Guthrie To Head Server Group, At Least For Now

Microsoft named Satya Nadella as its new CEO today, and now it appears that Microsoft corporate vice president Scott Guthrie will take Nadella’s place as acting head of the server and enterprise group. This comes by way of Re/code, which reports that Microsoft confirmed the appointment. Guthrie previously ran the Windows Azure team and the groups that built Silverlight, ASP.NET, and other developer tools.

It’s not clear whether Guthrie’s promotion is temporary or permanent.
