On Day 2D of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) event, the official prize pool and turnout numbers for the 2025 main event were announced.
This is the third-largest WSOP Main Event in history, with entries totalling 9,735. The prize pool is substantial too, with this being worth $90,535,500, with $10,000,000 going to the eventual champion.
“It’s been another historic summer at the WSOP with total participation on record pace,” said WSOP Chief Executive Officer Ty Stewart.
“Customers have really responded to the WSOP’s move to The Strip and I think this number shows we remain a strong summer headliner.”

On day three of the main event (July 8), a total of 3,453 poker players returned to the Paris and Horseshoe to battle it out for the $10 million top prize.
The players involved the likes of all-time WSOP bracelet leader Phil Hellmuth, as well as WSOP Main Event champions Damian Salas, Greg Merson, Johnny Chan, and reigning champion Jonathan Tamayo.
Along with the participation being high, the series has seen a number of successes over the last few weeks.
The overall turnout of the 2025 WSOP Gladiators of Poker was substantial, with its final flight breaking the record for largest Day One flight in poker history with 9,875 total entrants.
This historic turnout meant that the total prize pool was worth $6,457,723 with $460,680 to be awarded to the winner.
Another moment included when Esther Taylor became the first female poker player to finish in the top three in the Poker Players Championship.
Michael Mizrachi ended up taking the crown, with this marking his fourth time winning the WSOP Poker Players Championship. He was also awarded his 7th career WSOP bracelet.
To win the title, he played against a competitive field with some of the best in the world including Ben Lamb, Bryan Kenney, Joao Vieira, and Esther Taylor.
