Whatsapp has continued to show its dominance by topping the charts once again. With almost 96% of Indian smartphone users having installed Whatsapp on their devices and the majority of Tizen users being Indians, this doesn’t come much as a surprise. MX Player’s clean UI has received much love from the Android community and it’s no different here.
Given how bad the default browser on the Z1 and Z3 is, opera mini has been the only good option for Tizen users until recently and hence has taken up the third spot. But with the recent release of UC Web browser which already has made into the list at number 13, the chances of positions of the two apps getting switched in the future are highly likely considering the wide range of features and services UC Web offers.
ShareIt is another app that has been popular among Indian users for sharing large files at very high speeds, it has blown away its competition by its simple UI of just a send and receive button that even the non tech savvy can easily learn to use.
Indian e-commerce site Flipkart is slowly losing its customers to the giants amazon and hence to make up for the loss, the company has brought their app into the Tizen platform and it looks like it has worked out well for the company as they’ve made it to the list at number 19, the same is the case with Ola Cabs with their ongoing competition with Uber.
Facebook and Facebook Messenger have maintained their spot in the top 10 thanks to their widespread popularity and active user-base, but we could certainly wish for a better UX of their apps on Tizen phones.
We have detailed only a handful of the top 30 apps, for the complete list, check out the table once again and head over to the Tizen store to download them.
