Following the successful launch of the Samsung Z1 in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of the first Tizen based smartphone destined for Nepal. The Z1 has sold over 1 Million units within the first 6 months of its initial launch.
The appeal of the Tizen operating system is that it is a lightweight platform, that gives you great boot-up times and web performance. The Z1 is Powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 768MB RAM and 4GB internal memory expandable up to 64GB with a microSD card, the device features dual SIM support.
The Samsung Z1 is priced at 7,490 NPR ($74 USD) and is available in the usual white, black and wine red colors. The Smartphone will be released on the Ncell 3G network and users will get up to 300MB of bundled 3G data free every month over a three-month period.
