Openmobile World Wide Inc. originally released UC Browser for Tizen app on the Tizen Store using their ACL for Tizen technology, which lets select Android apps to be downloaded from the Store and run on Tizen OS smartphones. UC Browser for Tizen has been updated to version 11.1.5.890 via Tizen app version 9.0.36 & compatible with ACL for Tizen app version 2.2.860 for Z2 & Z3 and 2.2.861 for Z1.
The number of apps as part of the ACL portfolio has been increasing of late and that is translating into more popularity and downloads. They released an android featured WhatsApp Messenger with the launch of first Tizen powered Smartphone Samsung Z1 in the first quarter of 2015. After this, they have released some good essential apps ie. Flipkart, Oxford English dictionary and also added some little games ie.Tic tac toe, Spades by Natural play etc. Next on the hit list they added MX Player app, Angry Birds & Talking Tom Cat, but Talking Tom Cat is now unavailable in Tizen Store may be for security reasons.
In the last month of 2015, they released the SHAREit app for Tizen smartphones but only for Tizen 2.4+ versions. In 2016 they added many popular apps to Tizen Store ie. UC Browser, UC Mini Browser and Xender. In 2017 they recently added UC News app and Saavn Music app to the Tizen Store. They also update their apps in Tizen Store and brings new features. In 2017 they updated their MX Player, SHAREit, Flipkart apps and recently they update their UC Browser app and brings a lot of new features.
New features of UC Browser app
- Select your favourite website and add this website to your UC Browser home screen as a shortcut. You can also save them in a folder as well.
- Save videos from any websites and watch them offline by IC Video player.
- Change the look of your UC Browser by using UC Themes and Wallpapers. You can also set wallpapers from your phone’s gallery.
- Private browsing using Incognito Browsing mode. Your history will not save after you activate this mode.
- Ad Blocker extension come with this update. Activate Ad Block anytime while browsing from top left the corner.
- Share any screen via Xender, Shareit, messages, Bluetooth or email or any social sites. Open your page which you want to share, tap on options button, tap share icon and then share.
- Active data usage to show your use of mobile data and share with any social sites or phone.
- Active UC News on the home screen for watching today’s headlines news.
- Interesting home screen UI with some preload website and customization features.
- Use UC Music feature for playing your songs with its lyrics.
- Set up your notifications ie. Facebook, cricket, quick search etc.
The update also increases the speed that you are able to browse the web. All in all, this is an excellent update to an excellent app. Get downloading now! 🙂

This update is available to all Tizen Smartphones such as Samsung Z1, Z2 & Z3. Before installing this app you have to confirm that your ACL for Tizen app is updated to the latest version. The new UC Browser app is about 20MB, which is an increase of size from 16MB of the old UC Browser app.
We hope that they will also get the update of UC Mini, Xander and add new apps. One of the new apps that might come to the Tizen Store via ACL is the VivaVideo app.
