Last week a new antivirus app added to Tizen Store named G Antivirus. This week also a new antivirus app added to Tizen Store named AntiVirus – File Checker by Victor Sindeev.
How it works
This app is made using the API of online file checker website virustotal. It sends the selected file(s) to VirusTotal.com and then gets a report including information about detected virus, if any.
AntiVirus app analyzes suspicious files and URLs and facilitates the quick detection of viruses, worms, trojans, and all kinds of malware.
How to use:
- Launch the app
- Click ‘select file for analysis’ button
- Select your file/files you want to check
- Wait for the report
- After report tap on ‘back to home’ button
You can scan multiple files by using this app including videos, audios, pictures, contacts, calendars etc. And you’ve to select maximum 128 MB file.

As you know that this app sends your files to VirusTotal website, so please be aware of their Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, but this is a well know and respected website. This app is now available for all Tizen Smartphones and is in the Tizen Store with a download size of less than 1MB.
