Doing the laundry might not be your favourite chore, but it just made its way to the headlines. Samsung’s groundbreaking 3 minutes 22 seconds washing machine commercial aired in the United Kingdom in November now has a follow-up. The movie has the same subject as the commercial. The Feature Film: Washing Machine will take you on the epic journey of a full wash cycle. It follows a QuickDrive washer as it completes a thorough cleaning session.
The 70 minutes Feature film would be shown in a single continuous shot, with full uncensored, moment-by-moment footage of a full wash cycle complete with music. The most interesting bit is that Samsung has uploaded the 70 minutes film to YouTube. There’s no need for a Netflix subscription, you can watch it for free. A piece composed by Micheal Nyman the Oscar award-winning composer of the soundtrack in the film, The Piano will accompany the film.

Samsung research shows that an average British adult spends 1,481 hours across his lifetime watching their laundry going around in the machine. Samsung aims that the film turns the boring way of doing laundry into art. So, if you are in need of a slow cinema to watch this Christmas, Samsung’s Washing Machine is just what you need.
