It’s that time of year again when summer is upon us, and many are feeling the heat not only temperature-wise, but in fun, competitive outdoor matches.
And yet, with all the pressure on your shoulders to win, there are apps in the mobile space for your Gear S3 and Gear S2 that will relieve you of some “heat” while allowing you to focus solely on the game.
To this end, we present to you Tennis Points, Basket Points, Soccer Goals, and Soccer Scoreboard.
Tennis Points
Tennis Points is designed to keep accurate score in a tennis game, so it knows when there’s a tie or tie-breaker, and when the winner has been declared. With Tennis Points, you can choose the number of sets you want for each match, so make the game as long or as short as you want.
Be sure to glance at your Gear S3 Frontier, though, even if you’re losing.
Basket Points
So you’re not a tennis fan. Big deal. You might be the type to love throwing a ball in a goal, passing, shooting, or even dunking. If you’ve grown a few inches and intend to show off your new height this summer, you’ll need Basket Points on your Gear S3 or Gear S2 smartwatch.
Basket Points is a game designed to let you control the time, manage time-outs, and, of course, keep track of “basket points” (the score).
Soccer Goals
Well, isn’t this interesting? “There’s an app for that” is a common saying in the mobile space, but it’s true: there really is an app for just about anything you want to do – including referee soccer games.
Soccer Goals is a game designed for someone refereeing a soccer game who needs to keep track of the game score (soccer goals), along with yellow cards and red cards. You can add red cards when a player has done something worthy of disqualification (such as received two yellow cards), or when the player has shown intent to harm a player (and deserves an automatic red card).
Just make sure you don’t get too card-happy on this one.
Soccer Scoreboard
Soccer Scoreboard is the game of games when it comes to game scorekeeping, players, and so on. The game is designed to keep track of which team has scored how many goals, but Soccer Scoreboard also lets you keep track of fouls (team violations), along with team colors, team players, half-time and extra time durations, as well as the home team (designed by letter “H”) and the visiting teams (designated by letter “V”). If you want to undo something, take advantage of the UNDO-function within the app (it only undoes the previous action, however, not multiple previous actions).
Finally, Soccer Scoreboard saves 10 games on your Gear S3 or Gear S2 and lets you export them to your phone. During gameplay, your smartwatch will have its screen dimmed, but Soccer Scoreboard will not turn it completely off. We presume this is some sort of Always-On Gameplay Mode from the app.
