OKC V Pacers: NBA Finals betting preview

The Oklahoma City Thunder take on the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Finals penultimate contest to decide the best basketball team of 2025.

With the exciting matchup set to tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, there’s a host of parlay picks to make the most of the sporting action.

The moneyline on Indiana is 4.50 (+450) to OKC’s less generous 1.22 (+122), which suggests the bookies are leaning towards the team from Oklahoma to take the series and the initial match comfortably.

The Thunder have been the surprise package of the basketball world in 2025, with the NBA’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) leading the line in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, otherwise known as SGA.

The dynamic point/shooting guard has run the league ragged with his ability to do everything on the parquet floor with world-class aplomb. SGA managed 34 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists against a stoic Timberwolves team that couldn’t handle the movement and the creativity of the Canadian in the match that ended Minnesota’s title hopes.

In the 24/25 playoffs, SGA has averaged 25 points per game (PPG), 5.5 rebounds, and 5.7 assists, and his numbers for the regular season are similar with 24.4 PPG, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.1 assists. The bookies have him at 2.00 +(200) as a double money shot to hit a PRA of 46.5, which may not be out of the question as many of the Pacers’ games have gone to the wire in this year’s Playoffs.

The Pacers have Tyrese Haliburton, the assist machine and three-point shooter who made the Knicks choke at the death in Madison Square Garden. He is one of America’s greatest talents, but injury and inconsistency have hampered the Indiana man throughout his career.

Haliburton’s regular season stats include an 18.6 PPG average with 3.5 rebounds and a massive 9.2 assists in 2025. His Playoff stats are slightly improved with 18.7 PPG and 5.3 and 9.0 rebounds and assists, respectively. He is 1.90 (+190) to hit a PRA of 31.5, which is doable given his ability to hit a triple-double on occasion, and his offensive rebounding has improved in the latter part of the season.

The stage is set for another incredible contest in the NBA Final,s and it looks like the men from Indiana have a job on their hands to slow the momentum of the MVP of 2025 to stand a chance of lifting the trophy.
