Paperclip Gaming’s Scroll Keeper, created with Stake Engine, has reached more than one million bets within its first week.
Launched at the end of April 2025, Stake Engine has attracted more than 4,000 developers, ranging from individual indie creators to larger studio operations. Already, developers have found success, with Scroll Keeper, made by a single developer, rapidly climbing to one million bets after just a week on the platform.
The goal of the engine is to reduce barriers to entry in the crowded iGaming market, offering a way to create games quickly and easily without large amounts of upfront capital or time investment.

Stake Engine’s key features include an integrated maths engine, complete front-end framework, and 10% GGR share. Studios like Paperclip Gaming and Twist Gaming are among some of its most successful users, with the former being the studio behind Scroll Keeper.
According to Josh Surin, creator of Paperclip Gaming, studios could once have spent as long as eighteen months developing a single game, whereas he successfully brought three titles, Scroll Keeper, Borrowed Time, and Deadspin Bonanza, to market in just five months.
“To understand maths in traditional slot games takes a long time,” he said. “You need to make adjustments during the test, and it is time-consuming. Using Stake Engine we reduce this to 10 minutes, which is out of what we are usually accustomed to in the iGaming space.”
Elsewhere on Stake Engine
Another studio, Twist Gaming, has also come out with a host of titles since the engine’s launch, including Realm of Rats, Lab of Lunacy or Samurai Dogs Unleashed. These were among the most played games according to bets on Stake in Q1 2025. This studio generates over 15 new game ideas each year, responding quickly to current trends.
