Monster Hunter Wilds system requirements: Can your PC run it?

Monster Hunter Wilds is shaping up to be one of the top 2025 releases thanks to the huge additions to the traditional Monster Hunter formula, coupled with the gorgeous new vistas of the world.

Since the game is looking to break new ground for the series, many are wondering how powerful a PC you’ll need in order to run it before securing a pre-order.

Below, we’ll take a look at the Monster Hunter Wilds system requirements so you can acquire whatever upgrades are necessary for your system ahead of launch.

Monster Hunter Wilds system requirements

As promised, here are the Monster Hunter Wilds minimum and recommended system requirements you can mull over and see if you need to make any expensive component purchases.

Monster Hunter Wilds minimum system requirements

  • OS: Windows®10 (64-bit Required)
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-10600 or Intel® Core™ i3-12100F or AMD Ryzen™ 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1660 Super(VRAM 6GB) or AMD Radeon™ RX 5600 XT(VRAM 6GB)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: SSD required

Interestingly, the notes from the developers on these minimum requirements is that the game will display in 1080p but this is being upscaled from a native 720p. Additionally, this will be on the lowest graphical setting possible and will only be outputting 30 FPS.

All of this combined suggest that the minimum requirements essentially make the game ‘playable’ but that’s about it.

If you want to experience slaying those monsters in a smoother fashion, you’ll need to look more toward the recommended requirements.

Monster Hunter Wilds recommended system requirements

  • OS: Windows®10 (64-bit Required)
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-11600K or Intel® Core™ i5-12400 or AMD Ryzen™ 5 3600X or AMD Ryzen™ 5 5500
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2070 Super(VRAM 8GB) or NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 4060(VRAM 8GB) or AMD Radeon™ RX 6700XT(VRAM 12GB)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: SSD required

Similar to the minimum specs, there are also some caveats to the listed recommended requirements.

It’s stated that the game is ‘expected’ to run in 1080p and at 60 FPS, which almost suggests that while it will be in full HD, there could be some frame drops. It also says that this is using Frame Generation, something that could be new to you.

This is all on the Medium graphics setting too so if you want the true high fidelity WIlds visuals, you’ll sadly need a better specced PC.
