Keep your wrist well Informed with The Guardian and The New York Times Apps for Samsung Gear S2 and S3

Recently, a Samsung official confirmed that there are thousands of developers working on the Tizen platform. This is quite evident because there has been a consistent release of apps on this OS. Now, two news apps, The Guardian Newspaper and The New York Times Newspaper now has its mobile app for the Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S3 which runs Tizen OS.

Guardian News
This is a unofficial standalone Gear App for The Guardian newspaper. This app was originally designed with the Gear S3 in mind, with the slightly larger screen size, but it also runs perfectly well on the Gear S2. Depending on the specification of your smartwatch, external web pages may take a few seconds to load. This app provides headlines of the current top stories via The Guardian’s public API and also gives the links to the full stories.

The New York Times
This app displays the latest and trending news from The New York Times newspaper. Just like The Guardian newspaper app, The New York Times newspaper app is an unofficial standalone app that uses The NYT’s public API to provide headlines of the current top stories (only WORLD stories for now). Please note that full accessibility to The New York Times newspaper content is not free though the headlines are free. There is a monthly subscription fee for unrestricted access to its articles.  Nevertheless, users can access 10 articles for free each month.  This app is intended to be used on the Gear S3. Nevertheless, it is also compatible with the Gear S2.
The Guardian newspaper app (version:1.0.0) is only 217.92 KB in size while The New York Times newspaper app (version:1.0.0) is about 1.11 MB. Thus both apps are very light and should be downloaded seamlessly. If you encounter any problem downloading or using these apps, please send a feedback to the developers or leave a comment on our comment section below.
