On Wednesday, Samsung introduced a team of devices to extend its smartphones and wearable brands.
Along with the next generation of its Galaxy phablet line, the Note 4, the Samsung brought out a variation called the Galaxy Note Edge—a new smartphone that’s practically the same as the Note 4, but with a bent display. The extra flap houses apps, tools and tickers away from the main display.
In conjunction with the IFA show in Berlin, Samsung also showed off its new Gear S smartwatch, the standalone wearable gadget with 3G cellular connectivity that was first announced last week, as well as the Gear VR, its first consumer virtual reality headset and the culmination of its partnership with Oculus Rift.
Specific pricing and release details haven’t been announced yet, but they should hit the U.S. in October.
