Samsung has been on a roll in renaming services owned by the company. Sami being renamed into ARTIK cloud is one of the popular examples. Samsung in collaboration with Goal.com had its own football app called Kick and back in May it got a new name called Goal+. The app was available for all of Samsung’s android devices and also had the feature to cast a few aspects of a match on to a connected Samsung Smart TV. Now, all that goodness is coming to your wrist via the Gear S2.
The Goal+ app comes in really handy during times like college hours and important meetings where you really need to keep a track of your favorite match but getting your massive phone out of your pocket isn’t a solution. The Goal+ app will notify you from a plethora of leagues all around the world, be it the mighty EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Major League Soccer, I League, etc. The app lets you favorite a club or match or the whole league that you want to keep a track of. It even reminds users of an upcoming match so that you can reach your home or the local pub to enjoy your game in time.
With Goal.com’s expertise the latency between a goal scored in a match and for that to appear on your wrist is negligible. The app doesn’t work stand alone, sadly and you’ll have to install the mobile version of the Goal+ app from here to make the Gear S2’s app work. The Goal+ app for the Gear 2 is available on My Galaxy Apps or the Gear Manager.
