Steam’s latest themed fest is in full swing, with the Capitalism and Economy Fest running from Jan 8 to 10 am PT Jan 15. Alongside some deep discounts on a range of popular simulation and management games, there is also a host of new demos to check out.
Make sure you check out these Steam Capitalism and Economy demos before the end of the fest:

Chillquarium
The demo for Chillquarium is sitting at the top of the list of “most downloaded demos” in the Capitalism and Economy Fest and shows no signs of relinquishing the top spot. Part cozy aquarium management sim, part idle game, players will buy fish, raise them, and then either sell them for a profit or exhibit them to earn from ticket sales. The art is adorable, and players will unlock new fish species through booster packs, so there’s a fun element of luck too. There are 125 fish to collect, and rare color variations for each one too, making it a perfect idle game.
Moose Miners
Manage a mine operated by moose. They will collect the gems, and you as foreman decide what to spend the profits on. Upgrade the equipment wielded by the moose, hire more moose, or venture deeper into the mines, it’s up to you. Acquire machinery to process the gems and make even more profit. Invest and expand your mining empire. The look of this game is unique, starting out on a small scale with moose harvesting gems, and expanding into a massive network of moose and railways and grinders that will take over your screen.
News Tower
A fun new take on management sims, in News Tower you operate a newspaper in New York in the 1930s. Decide what stories will make the front page, and negotiate the powers that be as they try to sway your editorial line. Will you print what the mafia wants, or will you uphold the impartiality of the press? Manage your reporters, design your headquarters, and change history. News Tower is currently in early access which makes it a perfect time to check out the demo, with the full release just around the corner on 13 Feb.
